Isabella is a Gridanian born Padjal of highlander descent. After serving for an extended period as a Spy in the Garlean Empire, she finally returned home after the success of Operation Archon. Scarred by her service, Isabella now wanders the realms of Eorzea in a journey of quiet contemplation.Isabella was born to an Immigrant Highlander family in Gridania. Her parents happily turned her over to the seedseers at the age of 11 and were delighted at the prestige of having been blessed by the elementals. Isabella was raised by the hearers and trained in the ways of white magic and conjuration until the fall of Al-Mhigo.With the rise of Garleman, Isabella was selected at the age of 27 to leave the twelveswood and infiltrate the empire to assess their threat and provide the elementals a set of eyes within tbeir ranks. Whilst she was nervous, Isabella agreed out of a sense of duty and love of homeland.Over the next few months Isabella and the hearers would feign the appearance of tension between Isabella and the council until she was cast out, giving her reasoning to flee to Garlemand. Isabella claimed to the Auxilary recruiters that she believed the Seedseers to be misguided, and unable to protect the forest from the Eikons. The recruiters believed her story, and she was inducted into an auxilary legion within the Garlean Empire.Isabella would serve in the Empire despite stigma for the better part of a decade until the loss of a superior officer resulted in her field promotion to Quo. She continued to maintain her cover until Operation Archon at which point she turned herself over to Twin Adder forces. She would have her mission revealed upon her return to Gridania. She pleaded for the pardon of the Garlean troops who surrendered with her, and had it granted.The relationships she formed, and her empathy and love of her friends was genuine. Whilst she was always an agent of Gridania, the betrayal she enacted upon the troops who thought of her as a comrade and eventually leader was real. Even with her initial briefing on the impact it would have, in many ways Isabella was not ready for the scars the acts of brutality she had to commit in the name of maintaining her cover and counter-espionage would leave on her soul. The impact was most visible by her advanced spiritual
age.Return to Gridanian life would be difficult, and she found herself struggling to reconnect to the forest. She felt as if its denizens shrunk away from her, as if they could smell the cereleum and blood on her hands. Finally, she took to leave the forest again to wander as she contemplated her experiences, trying to return to a sense of normal she had almost forgotten.

Like all Padjal, Isabella's ability to hear out the elements makes her a target for those seeking guidance or healing, be it spiritual or physical. Despite the scars of her past, Isabellas elemental given empathy means she usually lacks the apathy required to turn those seeking such help away, even if she wanted to.
Many Gridanians might know of the Padjal who served as a spy, or be suspicious of her pardon. This exposes Isabella to a great deal of positive, or perhaps negative, attention from her own people- or outsiders who have looked into the matter.
A great deal of soldiers would have passed under Isabellas command during her time as an embedded spy in Garlemand. Through one way or another, those who served under her, and the command above her would learn of betrayal. What attention that could attract from loyalists, or dissidents, within the empire is yet to be seen.
An outsider or the uncaring may find a youthful young woman as quite a draw to the eye, specially one with horns. Who cares about the details, who knows where a drink with a girl like that could lead?
